The Danish conductor Bernhard Melbye Voss started his musical career as a pianist and horn player. In 2018 he graduated as a conductor from the University of Music and performing Arts Vienna with a concert with the RSO Radio Symphony Orchestra, Vienna, in Musikverein. In March 2016 he had his debut as an opera conductor at the Stara Zagora State Opera and since then he has worked with orchestras in Austria, Denmark, Germany, Bulgaria, and Poland.
During his studies in Denmark, Austria and Italy he has received grants from Augustinus Fonden, Wilhelm Hansen Fonden, Lauritzen Fonden, Oticon Fonden, Beckett Fonden, Kapelmesterforeningen, Arne Hammelboes Rejselegat, and Jacob Gades Legat.
In the current season amongst others he will have his debut with the Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester and Copenhagen Phil.
